Hi, I’m Sarah. I have lived in Kent my whole life and have worked in various roles since qualifying from Canterbury Christ Church University. I have worked in the NHS for most of my career, including a Community Learning Disabilities team where Rachel and i met. I have also worked in an acute hospital and a special needs school supporting Autistic students within the education environment.
Since 2022 I have been working as Senior Occupational Therapist in a Kent Community Team that specialises in supporting adults with Autism and ADHD. Within this role, I have provided specialist support, which can include helping a person to better understand their diagnosis and to help them manage their condition better.

• All mandatory training within the NHS

I attend various training throughout the year to meet professional standards, so this list is continuously growing.
I have an autistic son myself, which has enabled me to understand the challenges and issues that individuals and their families may be experiencing.
Rachel and I have created DiverseOT due to our passion for Occupational Therapy and wanting to be able to offer interventions to all Kent-based, neurodivergent individuals and those who are yet to be diagnosed.
Wecan offer appointments to individuals who may not have met the criteria for NHS services or may still be waiting for a diagnosis and, therefore, would not meet the NHS criteria to join a waiting list.
